SAFE ENVORONMENT POLICY
ATTENTION ALL VOLUNTEERS! Safe Environment Policy for Divine Redeemer and St. James School: Are you interested in volunteering for our parish or St. James School? Every prospective volunteer needs to complete the requirements of the Diocese of Pittsburgh’s Safe Environment policy PRIOR to volunteering. The requirements are relatively easy and requires just a little of your time. We need volunteers to help with our various ministries at the parish and for the school. Please consider donating some of your time to help us. The requirements can be found at www.diopitt.org/compliance.
If you have any questions regarding the Safe Environment Policy, please contact our Safe Environment Coordinator, Sue Ponticello at [email protected] or (412)741-6650 extension 315.
DOOR LOCK MODIFICATIONS
As our world increasingly becomes more automated and digital, so must our churches and campuses be modernized for upgraded security. Substantial time and resources have been spent to make sure our parishioners, staff and school community are protected. We are proud to have been proactive in putting safeguards in place.
As we move to a keyless locking system for our doors, we thank you for your patience and understanding as these upgrades continue.
One change that many have noticed is to the garden door on the side of Saint James.
Because of the exorbitant cost it would take to change this particular door, it was determined that it be designated and used as “Exit Only.”
It remains fully accessible as an emergency door for those inside. We ask that all enter the church through the main, front doors.
